Currently located in Team Valley in Gateshead, we have a specialised workshop containing a spray booth and Hydrographic water tank. Hydrographics is fairly new to this country but is a massive industry in America and is growing very fast in this country.
Endless Combinations
The process involves laying a graphic film into a specially made water tank; you then spray an activator over the film, which dissolves the film into the water, leaving the ink on top of the water.
You can now dip any 3D object onto the film, which wraps itself around the part. The patterns and colour combinations are endless.
Carbon Fibre
One of the most common effects is carbon fibre, but there are hundreds of patterns on the market including skulls, flames, camouflage, wood and metal, to name but a few.
Whilst there are many motorcycle parts that benefit from the hydrographic, they are also commonly used on car parts basically, any 3D object which can be immersed in water.
